Artist Bio
Vikki is primarily a self taught oil painter who continues to study independently with many renowned artists. While she has been creating art in various forms throughout her life, it was not until her move to Bowen Island, B.C that she began painting in oils full-time.
Islands have a special place in her heart, as do animals. They are a constant inspiration and are the source for much of her work.
Vikki’s oils on canvas express feelings. They are gently rendered to speak from the soul.
Vikki's luminous landscapes and emotive animal portraits explore the fragile beauty of the human relationship with nature. Her sensitivity toward and awareness of animals clearly resonates in her paintings. They are potent expressions of the peace and mystery of the natural world. Soft ethereal dreamlike palettes are gently rendered, capturing some tangible inner magic. It is easy to be caught up in her quiet meditative works.
Vikki's works held in private and public collections in Canada, the United States, West Indies & Europe
